«Putin is a killer». Joseph Biden has said that loudly to the whole world. The words that our team has been saying since 2014; the words that Zelenskiy has never dared to say since 2019. It is a good answer to the question Who is Mr. Putin?

Such a public statement of the American President is very important for Ukraine. I would like to thank the leader of the United States for his valuable words as well as for his support of Ukraine, which he has consistently provided since our meeting at my inauguration in June 2014.

From my own experience and communication I know that Joe Biden is a reliable ally of Ukraine in our defense against Russian aggression and in carrying out reforms. I had more than ten personal meetings and more than twenty telephone conversations with him.

President Biden is a great opportunity for Ukraine, for our European and Euro-Atlantic integration. However, the office of the Ukrainian President is still displaying lack of capacity to take advantage of this opportunity and even more - it risks losing it.

Yesterday, the US intelligence officially stated that the people's deputy of Ukraine Andriy Derkach was connected to the Russian special services and was an agent of Kremlin. He interfered into the US election campaign upon Putin's instructions and for that purpose he disseminated fakes about me and Biden.

It has been confirmed that we, the political party European Solidarity, have been talking about for almost a year. Derkach is a traitor, openly working for Russia and against Ukraine. At Zelensky's request, law enforcement agencies fabricate cases against veterans, volunteers and activists. What else does the Security Service of Ukraine need to bring charges against Derkach?

I understand that the head of SSU Ivan Bakanov finds himself in a full split. He is not only a countryman, friend and business partner of Volodymyr Zelenskiy. He remembers very well how in May last year Zelenskiy publicly supported Derkach's actions at the press conference and in violation of the legislation of Ukraine put pressure on law enforcement agencies. He demanded from the Prosecutor General's Office to prosecute for treason. To prosecute not Derkach, but Poroshenko.

Maniacal persecution of political opponents cannot be transferred to the international arena as it undermines the strong support of Ukraine by its partners.

We do understand very well that the Derkach-inspired scandal was coordinated and directed by the President's Office. Or does anyone really believe that the leader of the faction "Servant of the People" Arahamiya and Dubinskiy were acting on their own initiative, and not on the instructions of Zelenskiy, when they demanded the establishment of a commission of inquiry on Poroshenko-Biden? By the way, the draft resolution has not been withdrawn yet.

It's time to fix the mistakes. The ball is on Zelenskiy's side. It depends on his actions whether Ukraine will lose its strategic partnership with the United States, which is vital, I emphasize, vital for us to survive the war with Russia.

The US have seen our struggle on the Maidan and on the front. They recognize strong public support for the Western vector of Ukraine's development. They acknowledge the success of many reforms that have been implemented in our country. Strategically, the United States trust Ukraine. But Zelenskiy still needs to gain such a trust.

To this end it is important, but not enough, to charge Russian agent Derkach. It is also important, but not enough, to prosecute the sanctioned Kolomoiskiy, who is recognized by the international community as a global corruptor. It is not enough to clear the President's office of a Russian mole who leaked secret information to the Russians about a special operation to detain war criminals from Wagner's private army.

The reforms have to be continued. It is vital to stop attacking independent anti-corruption bodies. It is important to demonstrate a real fight against corruption, not its imitation. Not in words, but in deeds to reduce the influence of the oligarchs. It is necessary to prove commitment to Euro-Atlantic standards of democracy and attitude towards the opposition.

In all these steps, we as a patriotic opposition are ready to support the authorities. Even now we are lobbying for Biden's telephone conversation with Zelenskiy. Of course, we are not doing that for Zelenskiy, but for our nation, because Ukraine's national interests need a dialogue with the United States at the highest level.

Our security depends on it, our victory in the war with Russia depends on it. The prospect of our membership in the European Union and NATO depends on it. The future of Ukraine depends on it.
