Sunshower - Temple Of Light - 1992

TRIPPING WHILE MAKING MUSIC. During a, much needed, recent visit by youngest son we were messing around just listening to tracks in my studio when we came across a bunch of songs I wrote and recorded in the early 90’s under the name of Temple Of Light. He really liked them and advised me to upload some of them to my YT channel.
What makes this track stand out , to me anyway, is that it was recorded on a rare and sweltering English summers day in 1992 when both myself and my collaborator, the late and very great David Malin, were completely tripping on magic mushrooms! This especially is obvious on the break down in the middle where we were both jamming multiple parts completely live, riffing and triggering samples with no sequencing at all. Shortly after recording this section the computer screen just turned into multi-coloured jelly and we had to stop. To my astonishment when I listened back next day I really liked what we had done and so finished it off. I actually hadn’t heard this in nearly 30 years but I’m really pleased my son chose this as it brings back a very happy memory of a long ago session that I shared with somebody that I both loved to work and play with.
