Mod: TM1637 LED matrix module
In this video you can see how I modified a TM1637 four-digit LED display module. Previously I added some buttons and bi-color LEDs to such a module. In this video it is modified to become a 6x5 LED matrix module.
Recently I published the TM16xx library on my Github account. It supports TM1637, TM1638, TM1640 and TM1668, both for buttons and 7-segment and LED matrix displays. In this video that library is used for the demonstrations at the end of the video.
Video index:
0:00 - Introduction
0:19 - Removing the 7-segment display and connector
1:00 - Remounting and soldering the connector
1:45 - Using soldering-mesh and transformer wire
3:25 - Testing the wiring
4:27 - Soldering the LEDs
5:58 - Testing the soldered LEDs
6:20 - Merging the LED-board with the module
8:58 - First test of the matrix module
9:30 - Flaky demo of modified module
9:50 - Reference to library and examples on GitHub
10:10 - Demo of another matrix in a wire salad
10:40 - Thank you. If you like you can subscribe!
