Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens 4K Video Test
This is the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens 4K Video Test. First, the build quality is nice. But not awesome. As you may expect this is not an expensive high quality kind of lens. so from that price point. I think is very good already. Second, this lens is not under Art series. Its a C series type of lens. So in theory its not the best lens optic Sigma normally used on their Art series. But even though the lens is not Art series grade. But the lens is still very sharp. You get to see all the details on the 4K image. I bought this lens mainly for my a6300. Because for the crop sensor I would like to have a faster lens sometime. But then I realized there is none of the f/1.4 native lens for Sony APS-C e mount system. So before this Sigma 30mm. People had to go with adapters if they want to have f/1.4.

Over all, I was very surprised with the image quality of this lens. I was very enjoyed shooting with the lens. The only complain was, this lens is focus by wire. I personally hate focus by wire lens. It was very hard to do manual focus. But I guess with such a decent price. I can’t complain too much. Anyway hope you guy enjoy the video that I shot in Melbourne. Cheers
