Danny Gokey's Better Than I Found It stop in Dallas, TX

Danny Gokey is best known for his award winning music and his time on American Idol, but his heart for serving people can fly under the radar. Whether it's serving on the parking team at his church or the foundation Sofia's Heart that he ran for a period, Danny has taken Jesus's words to heart: "Whatever you did for the least of these, you did for me."

In 2019 during the Hope Encounter tour, Danny introduced "Better Than I Found It," a series highlighting those who are making an impact in their community. Set to release during 2020, the pandemic put a damper on those plans. Delayed but undeterred, Danny launched Better Than I Found It on his Jesus People tour in early 2023. He and his team partnered with local organizations at many of the tour's stops to serve the communities they were playing in. They provided diapers, gift cards, meals, and other resources along with their time and organization for these events.
