When Hills Get Steep. Choose Ventrac

Last year we spent some time at a local park property mowing a steep 30° hill that serves as the dam for a large lake. To handle the different terrain, we brought three mower decks on our 4520 Pro: the MK960 Wide Area Mower, the MS720 Finish Mower, and HQ682 Tough Cut.

The wide area mower covered the steepest side quickly with plenty of overlap. The 72-inch deck let us get a cleaner cut where people use the park most, and the tough cut handled overgrown native areas without slowing us down.

Hills like this show why the Ventrac 4520 Pro is built for slopes. Weight transfer, low center of gravity, and optional tire chains make steep slopes manageable, and the slope gauge accessory helps track exactly where you are. With the right deck and setup, this hill is something most other machines simply cannot handle.
