Highlanders First Ever Appearance at WV State Baseball Tournament

Some random sights and sounds from GoMart Ballpark in Charleston, West Virginia on June 6, 2025. The Webster County Highlanders of Upperglade, West Virginia made their first ever appearance at the state baseball tournament in Charleston. #4 seed Webster faced off against #4 Madonna, two of the four teams competing for the state championship in Class A. The game was scoreless through the first three and a half innings before Madonna broke free for five runs in the fourth inning and another three runs in the fifth inning, enroute to a 13-3 six inning game (mercy rule applied after five innings if a team is ahead by 10 or more runs). #highschool #highschoolsports #highschoolbaseball #baseball
