Skinny Seal Rescued

this time of year, the seal groupings at Pelican Point start to change, as the animals spread out further down the coast, forming more, but smaller groups.
This particular group was about 2km south of where the seals usually start, and Naude and Denzil immediately noticed this big fellow as they drove past. They could see he was thin, and could also see why - he had a loop of thick fishing line cutting deep into his chest, and must have been causing massive discomfort.
The quickly managed to get him into the net, as he was not very fast. The line was removed and this little act surely would have saved his life. 🦭
