PROJECT 254, Episode 59 - THE THWAKE MULTIPURPOSE WATER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (DAM) IN MAKUENI COUNTY
Government continues to prioritize projects that improve livelihoods by creating jobs and increasing household earnings as it implements the Big 4 Agenda. One such project is Thwake Dam, a mega hydro-electric project in Makueni County that will harness adequate water resources for electricity generation, irrigation and household use in the largely dry Lower Eastern Region.
