I use headlamps all the time, whether mountain biking at night, or working outside in the dark, or in the basement or attic or detailed hand work or mechanical repairs in low light areas, love them.

I much prefer AAA rechargeable batteries over built in rechargeable batteries, so if the batteries run out I can simply swap in a fresh set, and worst case I can throw in some plain alkaline batteries, but I generally run NiMH, which are mostly good, but slightly lower voltage and duration as alkaline. So when I saw an ad for these Pale Blue Li-ion AAA batteries I was sold immediately, even though they were pricey I was confident they could be a great investment for me.

Well boy was I disappointed. I spent like $90 for them, and not only does their voltage flicker from on to 99% off, when on I think they are too high voltage, as they melted the switch on one of my headlamps due to the LED getting too hot.

Very disappointed.
