After months of Paige VanZant talking about how she makes more money off of Instagram than she does from her UFC fights, UFC president Dana White agrees with her that it's time to test the waters.

VanZant fought the final bout of her UFC contract at UFC 251 on July 11, 2020, on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi. Amanda Ribas submitted her in the first round.

Following the fight, White said that he agreed with her that "she should definitely test free agency."
