I fell in love with this song and I immediately thought of Henry and Anne from The Tudors. Particularly the lyrics "Funny you're the broken one, but I'm the only one who needed saving." Henry was always painting himself as the victim, rather than the murderer he was. It may have been a different time, but he was one selfish pig haha!
I love this show...it completely romanticises a lot of things and misplaces a lot of truths, but it is a fun show to watch and if you haven't yet, I hope you get round to it sometime.
