So it’s finally happened. Donald Trump took to the White House Rose Garden last night to announce his grand tariff plan on what he’d dubbed 'Liberation Day'.

And the end result was the UK being slapped with a 10pc tariff across the board on exports to the US - a measure which will still have harmful effects on the economy, but not nearly as bad an outcome as the European Union, which was hit with 20pc.

Kamal and Camilla ask former Business Secretary and ardent 'leaver' Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg whether we can thank Brexit for sparing the UK from the worst of the tariffs, and if it's time to properly unleash the potential that presents itself now we've left the bloc.

They also assess how well Keir Starmer comes out of it all. For all of his bending the knee to Trump, the Prime Minister has come away with exactly the same outcome on tariffs as Taliban-led Afghanistan. Can he still salvage a trade deal, will he consider retaliatory action, or will he do neither?
