Install Videos // Z1 Solid Shifter Support Bracket Bushings

Installation of these bushings is simple. Remove the factory shifter and bracket from the car, remove the worn rubber bushings, and press in the new solid bushings. To aid in installation, our engineering team has developed an install tool that can be purchased in the product options. This tool was designed to serve two purposes; to remove the stock rubber bushing and install the solid aluminum bushing. A relief cut in the back of the install tool ensures the bushing is pressed into the bracket at the right depth. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing the installation tool, as improper installation can result in damage to the OEM Shifter Support Bracket.

These bushings are compatible with all rear-wheel-drive VQ manual transmissions produced from 2005 onward, including the CD009, JK400, JK40B, JK41A, 1EA0A, and 1EA0B. Not sure what transmission was installed in your Z or G? Use our transmission guide to identify your car's original transmission!
