An appeal from an adivasi | Madhav Singh | TEDxPandri

This is an honest appeal by an Adivasi from Chhattisgarh (India) to conserve and preserve his Mother and God i.e the forests.

Jabarra, a village of Dhamtari district, in the state of Chhattisgarh is reckoned for its forest abundance and herbal inventory, Jabarra villagers have a vast understanding of medicinal plants and their usage. The village community is an amalgam of various tribal communities including Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG).

Madhav Singh is a representative of this community. The community as a whole has taken up full responsibility to showcase the organic riches of the village, which is becoming home to an international arena via eco-tourism. The indigenous primitive tribal groups vulnerable to the impact of climate change and exploitation, are endeavouring to make the world a little better.
