Yes, I washed my hands before I changed the piercings. Obviously! Always wash your hands!
❤UPDATE:
The next day my nose wasn't as sore as I thought it would be. It was a little red, however it wasn't painful.
I did put my original nose rings back in after that day and I did get a tiny hypertrophic scar on the new one (the one that wasn't ready to be changed) but it was very minor and was healed within 4 days. But those DO happen when the piercing isn't ready to be changed yet.
My nose piercing that I have had for a few years wasn't affected at all during the change, because it's healed!
Both piercings are in good health!
