Easy Check For Bad Fan Motor
This is a simple check that can be done to help identify a bad fan motor. Most vehicles today are equipped with electric cooling fans that help to cool the cooling system. Over time the fan motors can get bad spots and bad brushes inside. Typically when they fail in this manner they will not spin even when voltage is applied. If voltage is applied to the motor and the motor starts to spin after giving it a few light taps then most likely the motor is bad and needs to be replaced.
