Modern Periodic Table | Chemistry
This lecture is about modern periodic table and periodic classification of elements. Also, we will learn about the difference between Mendeleev's periodic table and modern periodic table.
We know that Mendeleev successfully classified 63 elements that were known at that time. In Mendeleev's periodic table, elements were arranged on the basis of increasing atomic mass.
Later, when new elements were discovered like noble gases and isotopes of different elements. It was difficult to place them correctly in the mendeleev's periodic table.
Then, British scientist Henery Moseley formed modern periodic table. Ho found that elements are periodic functions of atomic numbers. He called this as modern periodic law.
To learn more about modern periodic table, watch this lecture till the end.
