Hand Plane Wide Boards
As a follow up to our video on getting better results from your thickness planer, I was asked to demonstrate how to plane a wide board and not have plane tracks or what you might call overlap marks. Once you learn to sharpen, you have the opportunity to eliminate 75% of your sanding! I walk you through planing a 16" wide piece of Northern White Pine, lovely stuff to plane. Also cover how I sharpen the plane blade to prevent plane tracks. Enjoy!
