"its mahvel baybeeee 😎😎😎"
Being the latest entry in the Marvel vs. Capcom series of crossover 2D (mostly tag-team) fighting games (being developed solely by Capcom, with characters licensed from Marvel Comics), Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite was released around September 2017.
This entry has several changes compared to previous games of the series. You engage on two-on-two battles, as opposed to previous titles having a three-on-three format. The game also returns to Marvel vs. Capcom 2's control scheme - four attack buttons, consisting of light and heavy punches and kicks - and reworks the tag system (now titled "Active Switch") to immediately switch between their team members at any point, even during combos.
Also returning to the game is the "Infinity Stone" system, also reworked from its initial appearance from Marvel Super Heroes (as unlike in Marvel Super Heroes, you can only select one). Each Infinity Stone has their own special attacks - the "Infinity Surge" does an unique attack and can be done any time, while the "Infinity Storm" provides a powerful buff (or enemy debuff) upon activation, but can only be done if the "Infinity Meter" (a gauge that fills up upon getting hit or using an Infinity Surge) is 50% full.
0:00 Arcade Mode
Arcade Mode has you fight through seven stages - five randomized, and the sixth and last being unplayable boss characters Ultron Sigma and Ultron Omega respectively. The latter two ended up being easier than expected in this playthrough specifically - I managed to finish up Ultron Omega quicker than previous playthroughs, although I think that's because I got lucky, as Ultron Omega ended up exposing themselves, leaving them wide open for attacks. This so far has rarely happened in previous playthroughs.
14:28 Credits
Not much to say about this part. Overall, the game is pretty fun to play, but the visuals and character representation needs work. Then again, we won't even get these issues fixed, as Capcom abandoned this game shortly after launch...
