How to Make German Onion Cake - OR Better Known as Zwiebelkuchen!
How to Make German Onion Cake - OR Better Known as Zwiebelkuchen?
Well, it is quite easy.
But first, a little information.
Zwiebelkucken (Onion Cake) is so tasty, delicious, and is a savory bake that comes from the southern parts of Germany.
This traditional Schwäbischer Zwiebelkuchen recipe was actually given to me by a wonderful, lovely women, that I have had the privilege to get to know and learn from while living here in Germany.
She has taught me so much about German bakes and recipes and I was thrilled when she gave me permission to share this recipe.
So, I hope you enjoy her recipe as much as I have, because there is no better recipe than a recipe that has been loved, perfected, and passed down.
And I know, I know. You are thinking, what are you talking about. Onion, Cake, this is not a thing. But I promise you, it is and and it is magnificent.
The first time I had it was last year at the end of the season and I just knew I was going to have to make it this year.
And lucky you! I have a YouTube channel now to share me recipe with you.
It is an easy recipe, perfect for the fall season, and a treat to share with family and friends.
Try it.
I promise you will not regret is.
In addition, I forgot to mention, you will want to you a 9 inch or a 32 cm spring form pan!
