Amanda Eddy: My Glaucoma Story

Amanda Eddy is a jewelry designer who was born with glaucoma. When she was diagnosed at three months old, her family was living in the Middle East, her father a visiting professor at the University of Beirut. Her family rushed back to the United States, where Amanda underwent multiple eye surgeries. Because of this early intervention and diligent use of eye drops, Amanda’s vision was stabilized. Amanda is grateful, but she says she's been "using the same eye drops for 36 years" and she is enthusiastic about the work of Glaucoma Research Foundation (GRF) to find a cure for glaucoma. Amanda donates a percentage of proceeds from sales of her jewelry to GRF to help fund innovative glaucoma research and education. We interviewed Amanda during our annual Glaucoma 360 event in San Francisco, on February 2, 2017. Please join Amanda by donating to Glaucoma Research Foundation at http://www.glaucoma.org/donate
