What if in your career you didn't have to choose between doing good in the world and making money; you could do both? Exploring how social business blends the best of business and charity to solve social problems whilst being profit making at the same time. Kat Dunn is the CEO of Grameen Australia – a social business inspired by Nobel Peace Prize Winner and Grameen Bank founder, Professor Muhammad Yunus.
Kat started her career as a finance lawyer at top tier law firm Clayton Utz before moving into a commercial role at listed fund manager Perpetual, where in 18 months, she led over 40 deals with total funds’ under management exceeding $3 billion. In 2016, Kat was the youngest executive to serve on the senior leadership team of Perpetual including as a member of Perpetual’s Diversity Council.
Kat created F-OFF: Fear of Failure Forum, a movement to say “F-OFF to your fear of failure and grow your potential” and coaches CEOs and high achievers on connecting profit with purpose.
