Fines and “class bubbles”: new plans to get children back to school - BBC News
The government has set out plans to ensure all children in England are back in school full-time after the summer holidays.
Children in primary schools will be in “class bubbles” and secondary school pupils in “year group bubbles”. Social distancing won't be enforced.
However older children will be encouraged to keep their distance as much as possible and not touch each other.
If there are two or more cases of coronavirus within a fortnight, large groups may be sent home to self-isolate as a precaution.
Attendance will be compulsory, with the threat of fines for parents if children don't go to school.
