Beethoven - Rondo for Piano and Orchestra, WoO 6 (1793)
Anybody knows who the performers are? I lost the info and original recording.
Ludwig van Beethoven (baptised 17 December 1770 – 26 March 1827) was a German composer and pianist. A crucial figure in the transition between the classical and romantic eras in classical music, he remains one of the most recognized and influential musicians of this period, and is considered to be one of the greatest composers of all time.
Rondo in B-flat major, WoO 6 (1793)
Performers? Maybe Friedrich Gulda.
First published in an edition (1829) by Carl Czerny which (the original manuscripts and sketches from which he worked having disappeared?) was some degree Beethoven, some degree Czerny's; Thayer eg conjectures that Czerny contributed a fair amount of it, possibly from necessity.
The Rondo was composed in 1793 and originally intended as the final movement for his second piano concerto. Hans-Werner Küthen states this was probably the finale for the first and second versions of the second piano concerto, being replaced by the final version of the rondo in 1795. He also notes that the most likely inspiration for the insertion of an andante section into the rondo is the concluding rondo of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 22.
