Nearly three in four Canadians want Justin Trudeau to step down now

A new Ipsos poll has found that 72 per cent of Canadians want Justin Trudeau to step down as Prime Minister.

In the online poll conducted between November 14 and 17, among 1,000 participants, it was found that nearly three in four Canadians wanted the PM to step down immediately.

If the election were held today, 40 per cent would vote for the Conservatives and 24 per cent for the Liberals.

In the Ipsos poll, most people picked the Conservatives as best suited to tackle inflation, the housing crisis, manage Canada's economy, and lower taxes.

Though Trudeau is only halfway through his term, he faces an uphill battle to win back voters over the next two years.

The 51-year-old has previously stated he has no intention of stepping aside despite dwindling support in the polls.
