yknow, now that's it's finished and done with, i kinda hate it!
only took me two weeks to do this at least! couldve had it done sooner if not for midterms

STORY

Breezestrike finds himself injured and bleeding after stepping on a thorn. Cinderfall finds him just near the border of their two territories and urges Breezestrike to let him help. Breeze is hostile and reluctant, but eventually gives in to his assistance.
Breezestrike remembers his brother, Nightpaw, who he started to become close to only to see him be struck down by the Halcyon. Cinderfall remembers his mentor, Juniperbreeze, who became a father figure of sorts to him, only for him to turn up dead thanks to the Halcyon. They're able to form a bond thanks to these shared losses and distaste for the Halcyon.
As they grow closer, Breezestrike tries to get Cinderfall to join in on his antics. Cinder is reluctant, afraid to hurt himself in the process, so he comes up with excuses that Breeze buys into.
Cinderfall wakes up one night to find that his pawpad is bleeding, and it's bleeding gold. Ela is searched for Goldbloods a few days later, and many cats are exposed for the color in their veins, some trying to hide it and some lying to get special privileges. Cinderfall manages to stay hidden, but his fear for his safety has increased.
Meanwhile, Breezestrike has been attacked by a rogue off the Kelra border. He receives treatment for his wounds, but the scratches on his face leave a scar. He's embarrassed for Cinderfall to see them, thinking them a sign of weakness, but Cinder still embraces him to show he hasn't changed the way he sees him.
Breezestrike, after hearing about the searches in Ela, tells Cinderfall that he's heard of a secret group of rebels called the Rosebloods forming outside their territories. He excitedly tells Cinder that he's going to join them to get revenge for their past, and wants him to go with so they can truly be together. Cinder panics, thinking of his golden blood, and makes up another halfhearted lie so that he can't go with Breeze. Breezestrike sees through this lie, and angrily tries to leave before he does or says something he regrets. Cinderfall panics again and reaches out towards Breeze to try and keep him from leaving, but Breeze lashes out and pins Cinder to the ground, calling him a liar before leaving.
Breezestrike successfully joins the Rosebloods, happy to be apart of their cause, and participates in one of their battles against the clans. Kelra's enforcers are sent out to quash the rebellion, and Breezestrike is caught off guard by one of them.
Ela is sent to heal the survivors and take care of the dead bodies, and Cinder is horrified to see Breeze's lifeless body laying among them. He cries, wishing they didn't leave off the way they did.
