Steven Spielberg is one of the most authoritative, prestigious and reputable filmmakers of our epoch. Since childhood, he has been interested in the moviemaking world and at the age of 12 started making first creative steps. He won a prize for a 40 minute long film and later got an opportunity to have an internship at Universal Studios. After a couple of years of being in this particular industry, Universal Pictures offered Steven to sign a contract and of course, he agreed, which was a great success for a young director. However, the real key point in his career happened with the release of Jaws that gathered 260 million dollars. After this incredible success, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park and many other works followed. With each and every new movie, Spielberg was getting more and more professional as well as famous. But this celebrity can boast of not only worldwide fame and recognition but also great family.

Steven’s father, Arnold was an engineer by profession and was even involved in the invention of the first computers. After divorce with Leah, Arnold remarried a woman named Bernice and at that time he was already 80. In 2017, she clocked 100!

The mother Leah was a restaurateur and she also married once again after the divorce. She passed away in 2017, aged 97.

Apart from Steven, there are also three more sisters in the family.

Anne is as creative as her famous brother and she even worked as a screenwriter. It is also known that she is married, yet we don’t know whether she has any kids.

The second sister Sue is not connected with the moviemaking industry in any way. She is a marketing consultant. She is married and raises children.

The youngest sister is Nancy and she is a producer, who mainly works in documentaries. She is a mother to two daughters and a loving wife.

As for Spielberg’s personal life, he was married twice with an actress Amy Irving being his first spouse. The couple first started dating on 1976 and went on like this until their break up in 1980. However, later they reunited and tied the knot in 1985. The union lasted 4 years during which they produced a son.

In 1991, Steven led Kate Capshaw down to the altar and the couple has been living happily ever since that time, bringing up the children.

Jessica is a step-daughter, who was born in Kate’s first marriage to Robert Capshaw in 1976. Despite the fact that Jessica is not Steven’s biological child, he loves her very much and even inspired to become an actress. Nowadays, she is not only a well-known actress but also a wife and a mother to four kids.

In a marriage with Irving, there is only one child, a son Max, who was delivered in 1985. He followed dad’s steps and is also working in the entertainment sphere.

Theo is an adopted son. Actually, Kate adopted him before marrying Spielberg and the filmmaker took him in. At first, Theo was helping dad to work on movies but looks like music won his heart, since he is now a member of the band, where he plays the guitar and piano.

Sasha became a wonderful addition to the family in 1990. She is an actress but is more interested in creating music with Theo.

One more child with Kate is a son Sawyer, who was welcomed in 1992. Due to the father, he acted in several movies and is pursuing acting career.

Mikaela is an adopted daughter with Kate. She was born in 1996 in South Africa.Mikaela is very passionate about painting and often uploads her works on social networks. She is currently graduating from the University, so let’s see what she will choose as a career.

That same year, the couple became parents to a daughter Destry. She is also into the filmmaking industry and one day soon, dreams to make it big in the Hollywood. Currently, she combines this passion with modeling.
