Whaley Bridge floods - 31 July 2019

I went to film particular vulnerable hotspots around our town where the water was rising, specifically for an elderly gentleman (who's lived here all his life) I knew couldn't get out to see for himself.
At the end of the walk, I couldn't resist (foolishly) getting up behind the wall where the water was spurting up at the base of the dam spillway - when it collapsed, water broke through the wall and you can see it would have washed me away - like I said - foolish!

From the Memorial Park, past Wharf Court and the White Hart to Bridge Street by the doctor's surgery.
Plus, Toddbrook reservoir runoff.
