Mikaela Shiffrin Targets Fourth Olympics After Comeback | Road to Milan Cortina 2026

Alpine skiing legend Mikaela Shiffrin, the winningest athlete in World Cup history, is preparing for her fourth Olympic Games at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina after a powerful comeback from injury and post-crash recovery.

With more than 100 World Cup victories, two Olympic gold medals, and six world championship titles, Shiffrin says experience, resilience, and mental strength are shaping this next chapter of her career. After overcoming PTSD symptoms following a crash and puncture injury, she returned to form—earning milestone wins and reaffirming her place among the sport’s greatest competitors. Now, Shiffrin is focused on racing on her own terms as she eyes slalom, giant slalom, and team combined events in Italy.
