Falls Creek - December 18, 2022

The following videos are of a small creek recorded from tree-mounted internet cameras on my rural property. This creek, unofficially called Falls Creek, flows year-round, and can have significant flow in the winter. This creek is observed habitat for Coho Salmon, Steelhead, resident Trout, and Sea-run Cutthroat. It is located in Clallam County, Washington west of the city of Port Angeles. It is one of several tributaries leading to Salt Creek and flows north into the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The creek's flow originates at the peak of a small mountain which is about 3 miles upstream and south of Joyce, WA.

The purpose of these videos is to show the changes in vegetation and flow as the seasons and the weather changes. This creek is scheduled for a fish barrier removal project at Washington Highway 112, which will open up additional habitat for fish.
