In between the rains we dream of spring - a straw bale, trimming vines, an update on the dogs

Even though it has been raining (a lot), we of course found stuff to do inbetween the rains. We got a new straw bale in, and had to use some creative moves to get it out of van. After a cold and wet winter we also needed a restock on our wood supply. And with spring in the air it was finally time to get to work in the vineyard, trimming all the vines to get them ready for a new growing season. Finally some updates on how the pond is doing (not great) and what happened to Louis and Sisi since you last saw them.

New here? My name is Lea and I live with my partner Maarten and our toddler Puck on our land in Central Portugal. We left the rat race in the Netherlands in 2018 and moved south in our old campervan. Almost two years ago we bought land in Portugal that had been abandoned for several decades. Slowly we are cleaning the land and building our dream off-grid homestead from the ground up. This channel documents all the different jobs we have to do, and sometimes some nice footage of this beautiful country we now call home. Want to see more updates? Don't forget to subscribe!
