Potentially my last lure session for Pike before they spawn

Today may have been my last lure session for Pike pre spawning. I headed to the river Severn but it was still just to high to lure fish. Instead I hit the canal nearby. I managed to tempt a jack but that was it. I then dropped back to my local for half an hour and caught myself a brilliantly marked fish, not big but full of colourful markings and patterns. She was in perfect condition too.
