Sony Super LaserLink wireless IR video/audio receiver demo
Some late '90s and early 2000s Sony Handycams were equipped with "LaserLink", which allowed video and audio to be transmitted wirelessly via infrared beam to a TV equipped with a LaserLink receiver, up to 5 meters (16 feet) away. Super LaserLink extended this range to 8 m (26 ft). So how well does the system actually work? Here I demonstrate the IFT-R20 Super LaserLink receiver, and capture some video transmitted via LaserLink from my DCR-TRV103 Digital8 camcorder, at distances up to about 15 feet away.
