🇰🇷 Create an Effective Study Routine in 4 EASY Steps

Hey, you! I want to share my step-by-step process to creating an efficient language study routine! Since I started learning languages via self study, I've always tried to figure how to best accomplish my goals and I've finally found a method that helps me do just that!

1. Define Your Goals
Reflect on what you most want to achieve over the next few months. Consider all the things you need to do to achieve those goals and break them down into mini goals! The more specific you get with your goals, the better. Make sure that your goals are measurable because you want to give yourself the opportunity to better track your progress.

2. Carefully Consider Your Resources and Pick a Few
The odds are you probably have a few textbooks, websites, apps, and YouTube channels you enjoy learning from. However, now that you have outlined your goals, it’s time for you to select the ones that will best help you in achieving these goals.

Consider the following:
- What is the goal of this particular resource and does that goal aline with your goals?
- How easy is this resource to use? Does it require you to seek outside explanations or practice?

3. Get Out a Calendar and Structure Your Time
During this step you need to decide how you will structure your time.
Will you study everyday or only a few days a week? Is one of your mini goals to to finish a specific textbook over the next few months? If so, how many chapters do you need to work through a week in order to accomplish this?

PRO TIP: Specify at least one day a week as a “REVIEW DAY” for you to not only review everything you’ve learned, but also to catch up on anything you weren’t able to get done during the rest of the week.

Once you have all your mini goals placed on your calendar look them over and ask yourself, “is this something I can stick to?” If your automatic response is “no,” lessen the number of things you have on your calendar to create a more achievable set of weekly goals.

4. Make A Weekly Or Bi-Weekly Plan
Now that you have your monthly plan made, it’s time to write them all down on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule that you can carry around with you. I like doing this so that I can have the satisfaction of checking the tasks off my list as I complete them. It helps me stay motivated to keep going.
