Solitude in the Altai Fastpacking in Mongolia by Jenny Tough
A one-week walk(run)-about fastpacking journey in the beautiful Altai Mountains of Western Mongolia.
I carried minimalist kit - just a basic bivvy and some dry food - and navigated mainly by sight/compass, as the majority of trails were not marked on the map.
The solitude on this journey was completely remarkable, and gave me so much space to connect with the area.
