Kolkata is the most beautiful during the time of Durga Puja. It is mainly celebrated for 5 days but the festive mood starts from Mahalaya itself as the pandals are open to the public from that day. Slowly the festival has become a way of conveying a message like reducing deforestation, addressing various social issues like human trafficking, and celebrating the victory of good over evil. The display of various artistic concepts and themes in these pandals is a major part of the festival today along with decorations, lights, and people spending time with their loved ones.

I tried to portray the Durga Puja Festival in a way that you would witness when you walk in the streets, visit the pandals, or enjoy roadside food stalls!
