Counting Years and the Jewish Calendar for Daniel 9

And when the years are counted according to major milestones that the Hebrew text narrates, the corresponding important question that most people are not aware of is how significant the Jewish calendar is for this purpose, not the secular calendar which is not a singular contiguous period of time like how the Jews have kept theirs.
