Goldfish in Hong Kong Tung Choi Street by Water Arts Consulting

In my recent travels thru Asia visiting some vendors of both hardgoods as well as livegoods, I enjoyed roaming thru a region of Hong Kong known as Mong Kok's "Goldfish Market". To sum it up, it's basically approximately 2 city blocks of aquarists' haven!

Hong Kong is a city of approximately 7 million crammed into high-rises as far as the eye can see -- so garden space isn't as readily available as living room space w/aquariums & fish bowls/urns.

One of the oddest/coolest sights is seeing the multitude of "fish-in-a-bag" hanging on the walls like you'd see trinkets at the flea market. These "bags-o-fish" are constantly changed out &/or re-bagged (though not as often as one would hope).

The main reason for this is due to the space constraints of each of the street vendors & shops. Many of the shops are street level cubbies & some are even alley-ways w/barely enough room for one person to squeeze through!
