Tree Diagrams & Probability Distributions | Intro to Statistics (24)

Welcome to the twenty-fourth lecture in our "Introduction to Statistics" series!

In this video, we introduce a powerful tool for visualizing and listing all possible outcomes in a sequence of events: the tree diagram. We'll show you how to construct a tree diagram for simple experiments, like flipping a coin, and for more complex, conditional experiments. You'll also learn how to create a probability distribution by assigning probabilities to each branch of the tree and calculating the likelihood of each final outcome.

We are committed to maintaining a respectful and constructive learning community. Please keep all comments clean, on-topic, and supportive. If you have questions or topics you'd like to see covered in a future video, please share them in the comments below!
