Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta 2021 - Day 2 timelapse

Albuquerque, NM - Sunday October 3, 2021

Time-lapse of Sunday's main balloon ascension taken from the President's camp ground bluff using my GoPro Hero 9 in half second time lapse mode.

The winds were perfect today! You'll see balloons taking off right to left (wind from the North) then gaining altitude and returning in the jet stream looping back over the field. Watch the clouds in the morning moving opposite the direction the balloons take off.

Towards the end you'll see balloons landing in the trees behind the Fiesta Park. You'll also notice the cow balloon gets inflated but doesn't take off only to be replaced with a similar patterned regular balloon. Does anyone know why?

Also in some of the shots is the mini RC balloons that are on the schedule to launch today. They are about 1/4 scale so 25ft tall instead of 100ft.
