A Miracle of Survival: 13-Year-Old Afghan Boy Found Alive in Flight's Landing Gear at Delhi Airport

On Sunday, a 13-year-old Afghan boy was found alive in the landing gear of a flight arriving from Kabul at Delhi Airport. The discovery caused a wave of astonishment, as the space is meant only for folding the aircraft's wheels and has no room for breathing, light, or an environment that can sustain a human body at high altitudes. The boy, a resident of Kunduz, Afghanistan, claimed he hid in the landing gear before the plane's takeoff and traveled all the way to India. Delhi Airport security agencies immediately took him into custody and began an investigation. It is believed the boy intended to go to Iran but mistakenly boarded the Delhi-bound flight. Officials stated that the young boy survived for 94 minutes in that condition, which is astonishing, as the oxygen level drops significantly above 10,000 feet, which could have been fatal. Authorities are now processing his return to Afghanistan.
