In honor of black history month, I wanted to share with you Part 2 of an interview I did with a dear friend last year, on techniques parents can use teach their non-black children about race, racism, and anti-racism. Maria Luz Castro aka Luz, is clinical mental health counselor, a trained doula, and a mother of two.

This interview was shot in June 2020, at the height of the Black Lives Protest which rightfully gripped the nation in the wake of the George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery lynchings. As an indigenous woman from Ecuador, and mother of two black children, Luz shares her incredible insight into ways that parents can raise anti-racist children, who are will to be engaged in social justice movements.
