Video 3 - Examples of Waste Picker Integration in the Global North

This is the third episode of "A video series on waste picker integration", an outreach initiative aimed at sharing the main findings of the doctoral research "Analysis of the integration of waste pickers into waste management for a just transition to the circular economy".

In this video, we expand our view to the Global North, showing how the integration of waste pickers happens in countries like Canada and the United States.

*Note 1: At the time of the research, The Diverters' Foundation was in the process of joining the alliance. This process began after our study had already started, based on our suggestion as researchers. Although their membership was not yet finalized, we felt it was important to include them in the research due to their alignment with the alliance’s goals.
