Chinese Diesel Heater Hot Water

I stumbled across a video where a guy had made a heat exchanger to heat water from the wasted exhaust heat. After contacting the guy who is Paul Bruce, we compared notes and i set to making a heat exchanger.

I used a smaller diameter pipe then Paul used, it's ordinary automotive copper brake pipe. The diameter of the pipe makes it perfect to sit exactly in the grooves of the stainless exhaust pipe used on these heaters.

I was amazed at the speed in which recovered heat could heat two litres of water, some 17 minutes.
