How To Stop A Heart Attack - Cardiology Let's Play
Watch me play a cardiology simulator (with apologies to the patients I killed). If you want to support this channel, you can get a YEAR of Nebula and CuriosityStream access for only $15 with the code 'medlife'. Visit https://curiositystream.com/medlife.
This isn't really a Let's Play, but instead I wanted to give a basic intro to how we stop and fix some heart disease and I decided to use the CardioEx cardiology simulator to demonstrate a few of the techniques I employ when unblocking arteries. It's a game developed *for cardiologists*, ie it's pretty detailed and accurate. I'm not a big gamer, nor am I trying to take on the Buzzfeeds and Dr Mikes with their 'Doctor plays' series, but there aren't many interventional cardiologists on YouTube (I know one other), so figured I'm the man for the job.
To be perfectly honest, the last thing I want to do in my spare time is more cardiology, so I'm not entirely sure who will play this game. But it's certainly a useful teaching aid. With ridiculous music. I have no connection to LevelEx, the makers of the game. I contacted them saying I was making a video and they replied to say they'd forwarded to their head of PR who would get in touch but I never heard anything. You can find the game here: https://www.levelex.com/games/cardio-ex, it's free so why not give it a crack and maybe you can be sued for medical negligence too.
I shot this quite a few weeks ago but haven't had any time to edit it until now (also, see above - I just couldn't be bothered to do cardiology after I'd come home from work). I tried to keep it short for YouTube, but left some extra bits in for the longer Nebula version.
