DENGUE: THE HUNT FOR A VACCINE

Dengue Fever is the fastest spreading vector borne viral disease with 40% of the world’s population at risk.

The complex biology of dengue has for many years defeated vaccine researchers but now the first vaccine against the disease has been introduced and scientists are working to bring other innovations to fight its growing spread.

The film features interviews with leading scientists and global health players as well as people who have firsthand experience of the disease in widespread geographical locations.

While documenting the history and science behind vaccine discovery, the film also tells the human stories: the daily struggle of medics in the frontline against the virus and the work of those involved in vector control.
