Yamaha 2000 Series Audiophile Networking Receiver & Tower Speakers Overview

We were very honored to welcome Mr. Susumu Kumazawa (Product Manager for Yamaha Hi-Fi Japan) and Phil Shea (Content Development Manager), to @Audioholics so they could give us a technical overview and demo of Yamaha's new 2000 series of hi-fi components which include the R-N2000A Stereo Networking Receiver and NS-2000A high performance tower speakers. Yamaha says that the R-N2000A is made for “audiophiles with analog aspirations and digital desires" and we believe it. From its balanced floating amplifier design with massive torodial power supply and 4x capacitor bank, to the top ESS 9026 Pro DACs and quality phono stage, this receiver means business. Conservatively rated at 90 watts/ch 8-ohm and 150 watts/ch 4-ohm (both channels driven) this nearly 50lbs receiver is ready to play with their new NS-2000A speakers. The NS-2000A are a 4-driver, 3-way tower featuring Zylon fiber blend for all drivers and borrowed technologies from their NS-5000 flagship speakers.
