ESL Drama Energisers encourage group engagement, participation, concentration and teambuilding. They also help young learners review and practice target language.
For some teachers though the word “energiser” sometimes evokes an image of overexcited children bouncing uncontrollably around the classroom.
But energisers can be implemented successfully in the ESL classroom - when structured properly and when clear instructions are set out before the start of the activity.
Here’s a simple idea to practice letters of the alphabet, shapes and numbers and can be played in class or online
Be theatrical!
