This is the most popular and widely known Beethoven’s piano sonata.
The 1st movement of this sonata is one of the most played and well known classical music creations of all times.
In this video you'll find something unusual: the piano sonata is performed on the harp. The vibes of the harp makes the score sounding especially lirical and intimate.
Beethoven dedicated this Sonata to his piano student, Giulietta Guicciardi. She is probably the "enchanting girl", about whom he wrote to a friend that this “sweet, enchanting girl” made his life desolate and sad.
The unhappy love and the cold Moon light became the content of this video, although the definition “Moonlight” was given to this sonata after Beethoven’s death.
The harp string vibrations together with allegorical love story of the Moon and the Earth in the video compilation perfectly fit to the melancholic Moonlight Sonata’s mood.
